Hi! I’m Janie Raju, owner and lead dog trainer at Paradise For Your Pets. Meet, Beau and Lola my two rescue dogs.

I started my business in East Sacramento in 2008. My education and methods are based on current science and research, in dog training, behavior and nutrition.

This is an education program for you and your dog using organic methods so you are both learning to communicate to each other what you need. You will learn how to do this through fun play and train exercises. You will find your dog is listening, responding and communicating back to you. Your dog will also know you are listening to them and will look forward to training with you! Training your best friend should be a fun and positive experience for you both. Otherwise you are less likely to do the training.

This training programs doesn’t rely heavily on food as rewards either. The dog’s human is the biggest reward. However some skills are taught quicker and more easily using food rewards. In those instances treats are use to advance the learning process in a short time. This program is designed to manifest understanding and communication between you and your dog. The focus is not to bribe or to confuse the dog or human as to what is being asked. Rather. food is used a powerful tool, to reach training goals faster.

It is vital to understand the root cause of a dog’s reaction or non reaction that is causing the training concern. When we understand “Why?” we can implement a plan to communicate with the dog how we can work together to overcome the behavior of concern. Taking into consideration and understanding the dog’s perspective and needs as well. This is where I come in to tailor a program for you. In order to communicate the expectations we have of our dog to be successful in the human home they have been adopted into you need to establish a verbal or body language.
